We should also look into carpooling for those people who want to be involved but have no transportation.

We need people that can succinctly summarize, without personal bias, a statement of purpose for the media & journalists. And would be willing to talk to the press.

We can modify the letter to law enforcement/government entities into a general press release. I am going to work on that letter and I would love some input/feedback/assistance from anyone. Just send me a message on here or email me at anydayisnow@gmail.com.

We should also look into carpooling for those people who want to be involved but have no transportation. I'm definitely willing to help out with this! I can carry four other people in my car. My email is noahtheshipbuilder@gmail.com, or feel free to PM me and we can exchange phone numbers and information.

I think today we agreed that the basic idea is to fix a system that's broken. Everyone will have different reasons but the main point is to make the corporate giants who control the economy aware that their system is very broken, and we won't stand for it any longer. I'd be willing to talk to the press if need be. I don't know if that's what you were asking for or not, but there you have my two cents!

Also ready to help out! Workin' on a flyer now. I had someone talk to me today after the meeting and he said he had access to free printing, which is awesome! If you make a flyer, post it up and we can work on getting them printed! noah Yes! That! Sounds like you'd be awesome at media relations. - Ashley B!

I feel that we should be helping other occupy groups that need supplies donated. I have read that Occupy wall st. is in great need of thermal wear, and toiletries. Any ideas on this and helping other groups as well?

Any one who is good with people and wants to help us reach out to the community, media, and other potential supporting entities as well as help keep up facebook and any other sites.

ashley-Fine by me, though I think there ought to be a discussion of what our specific goals are, as that point seems to be hazy for a lot of people (including myself!). Right now I think I could say that the group seeks to end corporate greed and exploitation of workers both here and in outsourced countries, and for the leaders of these companies to be held accountable for their actions. Right now the economic status quo is awful for most people, and we want those who control the state of things to know that we are sick of it. I would also say that we are not a partisan group. We're not a part of the left or right wings of the polarized partisan system. We are everyone, we are the heart of America and the world. We are the 99%, and we will be heard. Anything to add? Anything to take away? On an unrelated note from the media, but a related note to student support-I'm also the president of the USC chapter of the ISO (International Socialist Organization), and though we're struggling for membership, I think that could be another good outlet for spreading the word, as well as connections the secretary, Scott, has with the SC Green Party and other progressive groups around the state. My roommate and I both work on campus, and are definitely ready and willing to distribute materials and talk to as many students as possible about this.
